The Turtle

If you have one of these turtles, you can try getting your baby to click the "I love you" button on it.  My baby wouldn't cooperate.  But maybe your baby would do the opposite of that and actually would cooperate.

Get your baby to sit on the turtle.  And read him a story or two to get him settled.  Then once you've got him settled, pull the straps back and forth (if you don't have the straps on it, you can just pull the turtle).  You could do the pulling on the turtle for maybe a free time activity.

  1. Great activity! I don't have a turtle like this, but I think a flat pillow would work until I can find something else to use with my baby. Do you have any favorite turtle art projects or ideas for turtle art projects I could do with my very young baby? I would like to eventually start by reading a turtle book with my baby, pulling him on a turtle toy and ending with a turtle art project to make a fun lesson to teach him about turtles since he doesn't know what they are.
Thank you for your posts- I always look forward to them!

    1. A flat pillow would work. Well, maybe you could make a turtle book like as an example the parts of the turtle - you could say "this part of the turtle's body is called the fin" and then you could have a picture of a fin. Like that! Also, you could draw a BIG turtle on a piece of BIG paper and have your baby color it in whatever your color your baby wants. Thank you for commenting. :)
