The Turtle

If you have one of these turtles, you can try getting your baby to click the "I love you" button on it.  My baby wouldn't cooperate.  But maybe your baby would do the opposite of that and actually would cooperate.

Get your baby to sit on the turtle.  And read him a story or two to get him settled.  Then once you've got him settled, pull the straps back and forth (if you don't have the straps on it, you can just pull the turtle).  You could do the pulling on the turtle for maybe a free time activity.

Teaching with ornaments!

You could teach with any ornament that you feel safe with your baby holding, feeling, looking at, and studying.  The best idea is to put it under a light and show your kid if it has sparkles.  You could show them if it has a letter on it and what color it is.  Like if it blue with silver sparkles or if it is red with red sparkles.  You can also say this ornament is made with cinnamon dough (I'm just calling it cinnamon dough).  And you can tell your baby if it is a star or a square.  You can just tell them what shape it is and what shape it isn't.

Give your friend a tour!

If you want to give your friend a tour of how to teach kids how to learn, you can tell them what you've learned from my posts.  You can show them what kids can study, what you can teach kids to draw on, and what they can not draw on.  This will probably build their skills.

How to Make a Piece of Paper That Tells About Space

So, if you want to make a piece of paper that tells about space, you will need:

a pencil

a piece of paper

How you do it will be on the bottom.

So what you do is...you draw planets you know about and stuff like that.  (You can also copy me if you want.)  And then you're done!  Ta-da!!

Let's Learn Some More About Space!

Let's learn some more about space!  I drew some more planets for us to study - me and X.  I've drawn Saturn, but I don't really know much about Pluto.  And the things you'll need for stuff in your little thing you built (or just on the ground if you didn't build it) will be on the bottom.

You can either use the stuff you would think that your baby might like or copy my stuff.  OK?

So what you'll need is:

Some crayons

A piece of paper

Something to study (it has to be big and interesting - someone commented on my blog and asked if a toy train would work and yes, it would)

And some black cabinets (they have to be hammered to the wall)

The things you need to have

So, what you need to have in order to make the kind of little thing I made will be written on the bottom.  

So, what you need is:

Black bookcases

2 heavy books

2 long pieces (like long, long) of cardboard

and 2 bags with one bag inside of the bag on the outside

How you build it:

(The bookcases have to be hammered to the wall because it might look better).  Put the 2 long pieces of cardboard so that they stand up (you might have to hold them) and then once you've got them up, you put the 2 heavy books inside.  And then, once you've got those inside, you put the bags on the outside.  And once you've got the cardboard standing, you've built it!!!  Ta-da!

Don't worry, it's fun.

Now, make sure that you have something black just in case because I'm teaching my baby about space and we have black cabinets and those black cabinets might be useful in the next few days for learning about space!  

In the picture I am drawing a picture of Earth to teach my child (X) what Earth might look like from actually looking at a globe.  

How to Teach Kids

Teaching kids might be a little hard at first, but soon you might have an easier time.  (I haven't tried this with my baby, so I'm not sure if it's easier once you've tried it a whole lot).  Now, you might not have the stuff for this, so you can just teach your baby on the ground instead of in this little thing I built.  

And make sure that there is something, well, two things, so number one - your baby that you're teaching should have something to study.  Number two - make sure that you or your child (what I mean by that is the person you're teaching) have something to do while you're teaching your baby.

This is how to teach kids to learn even when they're a baby!  Now, here's the easy side.  So if you have a fire truck, your kid or baby can look through it and explore it.  Now if the baby's arm is in the way, don't just shove his arm out of the way.  You can ask instead of shoving his arm out of the way.  And if he/she says no then just move on to something else.  It's also for older brothers and sisters.
